Do I need special hardware to use VoIP Essential?
No specialised hardware is required. You can use any SIP-compatible IP desk phone, or a softphone app on your computer or smartphone. We can recommend compatible devices if needed.
What happens when I exceed 1,000 minutes?
Additional minutes are billed at our standard per-minute rate. You'll receive a notification as you approach your limit so there are no surprises.
Can I keep my existing phone number?
Yes — number porting is included. The process typically takes 5–10 business days. Your existing number stays active throughout, so there's zero downtime.
Is there a contract or lock-in period?
No lock-in. VoIP Essential is month-to-month. Cancel any time with 30 days' notice, no penalties.
What internet speed do I need for VoIP?
Each VoIP call uses roughly 100kbps. A standard broadband or fibre connection is more than sufficient. We recommend at least 2 Mbps for reliable HD call quality.
How does voicemail to email work?
When a caller leaves a voicemail, the recording is automatically emailed to you as an MP3 attachment. You can listen from any device without needing to dial in.
