Will I experience downtime during migration?
Most migrations involve less than 2 hours of downtime, usually during the installation window. We schedule this at a time that suits you — evenings and weekends are available.
What about my notice period with my current ISP?
Most ISPs require 1 calendar month's notice. We'll help you submit this and time your Softhost activation so you're not paying for two services simultaneously.
Do I need to buy new equipment?
In most cases, no. We'll configure your existing router if it's compatible. If new equipment is needed, we'll let you know upfront — no surprises.
What if I'm in a contract with my current ISP?
We can still migrate you. We'll advise on your contract exit options and in some cases we offer a credit to offset early termination fees — ask our team for details.
How long does the whole process take?
From sign-up to going live typically takes 5–15 business days depending on your area and the FNO's installation queue. We'll keep you updated at every step.
What if something goes wrong during the switch?
Our migration team is on call throughout. If anything doesn't go to plan, we fix it — that's our commitment.
